You can always rely on perennial festival favourites the Super Furry Animals to put on a show. And, as second headliners on Friday's Radio 1 stage, they did exactly that.
Okay, there was nothing as spectacular as in 1996 when they played against the backdrop of a multi-coloured tank. But a tight performance, trademark video screen montages and a dozen searchlights probing both stage and audience guaranteed a stellar set.
And, of course, a silly costume - this year lead singer Gruff Rhys sporadically sported a Power Ranger/alien-esque red outfit.
They wooed the crowd with a setlist packed full of favourites, from Golden Retriever and Juxtapozed With U to Hello Sunshine and the almost Status Quo-like (Drawing) Rings Around the World.
But it was the surprise arrival of fellow Welshmen - and current darlings of the music scene - Goldie Lookin' Chain that really set the show alight.
The collective joined the band for a runthrough of Motherfokker, released earlier this year as download.
On they stormed, decked out in their requisite sportswear and sweatbands, sparking screams of appreciation and excitement in the already-packed tent, while Gruff presided over proceedings, arms aloft on a raised platform to the back of the stage.
Then, as soon as they came, the rappers - who had earlier played the Main Stage - disappeared.
They were quickly replaced by the Furries' yetis, killed off earlier this year at London's Hammersmith Appollo, for set closer The Man Don't Give a F*ck. Over all too soon.
