Even since his early days, 2Hats has always had a keen interest in toying with danger. Initially practising pyromania in his teenage years, he then discovered the works of Robert Craig Knievel aka Evel Knievel and vowed to outdo him on the danger stakes one day. Having turned his back on semi professional mountain biking at the turn of the century to follow his dream as a rapper, his influences range from seven times Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong to Kool Keith aka Doctor Octagon whose twisted sexual raps on the 90’s 'Ecologist' LP turned Hattsy onto a school of rap he refers to as 'Sex Hop'. Although difficult to explain in a brief description such as this, listening to Hattsy's lyrics leaves you with a sensation equivalent to spending a romantic evening in with Peter Sutcliffe.
Aside from resisiting the urge to set fire to things, Hattsy is also the GLC's most docile member and is often referred to as 'Stand-By' (as in 'standby mode') or 'Smack Boy' by other members of the band due to his heavy sleep sessions. Hattsy's official record stands at 14hrs whilst on tour*.
Hattsy plans to someday fulfill his dream of becoming a 'Smoke Jumper' in Canada - extinguishing forest fires and perhaps starting a few to keep the money coming in.
